About Us

Hi, I’m Caren Serfontein, the founder of CS Summaries.
I earned my B.Ed degree in 2016 and have been working as a teacher for the past 8 years. Teaching has always been my passion, and I believe that every learner deserves clear, accessible, and engaging resources to help them succeed.

CS Summaries began in 2022 as a small side project. I had written a few Grade 6 and 7 Mathematics books for my own classes to make lessons easier and more enjoyable. To my surprise, other teachers started asking for copies and the requests kept coming!

Soon, I expanded my collection to include Grade 4 and 5 Mathematics books, and from there, the range of resources just kept growing. Today, I’ve created over 1000 resources all designed, tested, and refined in my own classroom to help learners thrive.

The journey has been incredible. Over 7 000 followers on Facebook now connect with CS Summaries, and I’m proud to say that many schools, teachers, and parents use my materials to support their learners. The positive feedback I receive from teachers who say my resources save them hours of planning, to parents who see their children’s confidence grow, is what inspires me to keep creating.
